William “Yama Bahama” Butler
William Butler was a world-class Bahamian boxer who always dreamed of being a boxer. He moved to Florida, later turned Pro, and had his name changed to “Yama Bahama” by his manager. He fought internationally and won many fights which led to him stepping up in competition. He also fought locally and stepping up in Class his winnings ranked him internationally as #9 Middleweight in the world. He was later elevated to the #7 spot among the top 10 Middleweight world-ranking boxers. “Yama Bahama” was later inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame.
